Goal Area: ENGLISH-LANGUAGE ARTS (READING AND WRITING)

ELA Focus Area(s): Vocabulary
1. Summative State Assessment Goal (NeSA growth goal): Increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding proficiency on state assessment by 5% of students
to 38%.
2. Interim District Assessment Goal (MAP growth goal): Students at each grade level will demonstrate positive growth on NWEA-MAP from fall to spring (based on RIT).
Collect baseline data.
Strategy: School wide focus on learning targets and formative assessment and guaranteed and viable curriculum. Use of Study Island, RAZ kids and MAP testing data
to drive instruction. Work with staff after hours to host data dig sessions.

Goal Area: MATHEMATICS

Mathematics Focus Area(s): Number Sense and Data Analysis/Probability
1. Summative State Assessment Goal (NeSA growth goal): 5% of students meeting or exceeding proficiency on state assessment (Note: This will be baseline data due to
the revised, 2017-2018 state assessment covering new College and Career Ready Standards for Math.)
2. Interim District Assessment Goal (MAP growth goal): Students at each grade level will demonstrate positive growth on NWEA-MAP from fall to spring (based on RIT).
Collect baseline data.
Strategy: School wide focus on learning targets and formative assessment and guaranteed and viable curriculum. Use of IXL and MAP testing data to drive
instruction. Work with staff after hours to host data dig sessions.

Goal Area: Science

Science Focus Area(s): Inquiry, Physical Science, Life Science, Earth/Space
1. Summative State Assessment Goal (NeSA growth goal): Increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding proficiency on state assessment by 5% of students
to 53%
2. Interim District Assessment Goal (MAP growth goal): Students at each grade level will demonstrate positive growth on NWEA-MAP from fall to spring (based on RIT).
Collect baseline data.
Strategy: School wide focus on learning targets and formative assessment and guaranteed and viable curriculum. Use of Science IXL, 180 day bell work, STEM lab for
Inquiry in grades 3, 4, 5.

 

Goal Area: Attendance

Focus: Average number of days absent
1. Measurable Goal (growth goal): Decrease the average number of days absent by 10%. From 9.9 days to 8.9 days.
Strategy: Weekly attendance meetings, attendance initiatives for chronically absent students, weekly attendance prizes for classes with the best
attendance percentages, weekly drawing for someone with perfect attendance to receive school gear, quarterly award recognition tied to attendance
and tardies to school.

 

Goal Area: WELLNESS

Wellness Focus: Nutrition, Nutrition Education, Physical Activity, School-Based Activity.
1. Nutrition Strategy: Healthier options for staff celebrations
2. Nutrition Education Strategy: Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program
3. Physical Activity Strategy: GO Noodle, Recess, PE classes, extra PE pullout
4. School-Based Activity Strategy: JumpRope for Heart, Field Day, Intermural Sports for 4-5, Walking Club
